About the Author
As farmers we raised Polled Hereford cattle, wheat, durum, oats and buckwheat. Our nine children worked in the home and on the farm then went on to lead productive lives.
I was a 4-H leader for 20 years and all of our children completed 10 years of 4-H work plus their school activities that earned them numerous awards and trips. I taught “Agriculture in the Classroom” classes in various schools for 23 years. My husband was a state legislator so all learned about the workings of government. Both of us were also involved with other local, state and national organizations that increased our knowledges and experiences.
We enjoy our peaceful rural life and wide open spaces with no traffic jams, pollution, hurricanes, or earthquakes.
The Joyful Journey
The Itty-Bitties Go To School
As an educator and mother, I learned there were very few educational books available for children.
This book is to help teach young children about what they eat. It is about a popular food, how it is grown and other ways it is used.
The Itty Bitty characters are whimsical with a bit of humor but the story is based on facts and true events. This could be the beginning of a series about other educational topics.
